Tests

Hello (:

There are two tests tomorrow. Don't forget to arrange the tables and be punctual.
Good luck.

Oorah?

Cheers,
Chua hou (:

Quotes from Seniors!

Quotes are a very good source of inspiration.
Also, you can learn how to express yourself better this way.
So far, I only have Wendelyn's permission, though.

Anyone who knows seniors can contribute.

"Pancakes!" - The standard exclamation that is not rude and perfectly acceptable. Use it to express your emotions.
"Free money!" + lunge for money - Use it when someone you know drops their money to tell them they have dropped it. Don't actually take it though...
"Pancakes... You're all stalkers..." - No need for explanation...

Please comment. (:

The Blog

Alright, this is yet another pathetic attempt to revive this blog.

If anybody has any humorous, interesting or useful ideas for M11104, please do contribute. Anything is possible as long as you do not insult anybody. Do ask people involved for permission first.

Please help revive this blog!

Cheers,
Chua Hou (:

Presidential Election 2011!

Okay so I admit this is a really pathetic attempt to try to revive this blog. Those who want to be blod authors, PLZ PLZ PLZ GIMME YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS. I'll add you. (:

Anyway, how was Presidential Election for you guys? Yeah I know we can't vote, but did anyone stay up to watch Mr Yam Ah Mee announce the results? (Yup, I like Mr Yam Ah Mee.) Okay so I didn't, but whatever. I'm assuming most of you support either Dr Tony Tan or Mr Tan Cheng Bock. (Coincidentally, all Tans.) Or Mr Orang U Tan. XD

This is getting even more pathetic. I'm sitting around waiting for someone to comment or post something here. What happened to our homework announcer or whatever?

Important!!!

Hi everyone,

For the people whose email shut down or did not receive my very important email, here it is:

Hey awesome 104,

Yay!!! The exams are over!!! :D I know most of us want to slack now, but we still have one project to complete. Friendship patchwork.

As Chua Hou and I have told you during the mentoring sessions, All of you have to come up with a piece of art representing your interpretation of embracing and treasuring friendships (which is the theme for Year 1). We have given you some guiding questions to help you with your discussions.

Please be reminded that on the 3rd day of post-exam activities, there will be time for the discussion of the friendship patchwork project. So, please bring the required materials for your discussion on that day. (E.g. guiding questions, laptops, drawing materials)

During the mentoring sessions, you have been discussing about it and I'm sure you have come up with some ideas. Chua Hou and I need to compile some info about the progress of our class and so I need the following info from each group:

~The names of the group members (Please indicate an L beside the name of the group leader)
~Your ideas or concepts about the theme
~The caption(s) for your piece of art
~What you guys have done so far and what you are planning to do on the 3rd day of post-exam activities
~Timeline for the completion of your project for the following dates:
->T2 W10 (25/05/11) -

->T3 W1 –

->T3 W3 –

->T3 W5 –

->T3 W7-

Please try to email the information to me (h1110003@nus.edu.sg) or Chua Hou (h1110015@nus.edu.sg) by next Tuesday, 17th of March. As for the groups who have updated us on their progress, thanks! :) However, we still need the other info, like your timeline, etc.

If you guys find it hard to meet up to discuss in your respective groups, I suggest that you have an email discussion instead.

Enjoy the rest of your holidays! :)

Cheers,
Bianca =D

Exam ):

Well, exam for core modules is finally over!!!! For those who don't have 3rd Lang., you can start slacking.
For 3rd Lang. people, your 3rd Lang. exam is tomorrow. For Chinese as 3rd Lang. people, if you need help, you ask people who take (Higher) Chinese as core module. For Malay as 3rd Lang. people, well, I don't know, maybe you can ask Danish. For French people, um it should be okay, beware there's comprehension, also, do work on the conjugaision. And note the accents(yes that time I have one whole part wrong thanks to accent. the connaitre thing) For Japanese people, there's also comprehension.
Good luck to all!

Exam ):

Heyo 104,
Integrated Humanities exam on Tuesday.
Look through the concepts and all should be fine. Manage your time well too, especially for those who love writing super long stuff. You can refer to the worksheet that she gave us. Hope none of you lost it, otherwise....well, I don't know. All the best!

P.S. Bianca do you want to add on anything?

Exam ):

Maths exam tomorrow, 2pm to 4 pm in Theatrette.
Should be fine if you  do your revision worksheets. Also, go through the concepts for each chapter again. (:
For Higher Chinese people, there's also an exam in Seminar Room 1 & 2 in the morning. There's 2 papers: a compo, and a, well, 'main' paper. Compo is as usual: try to finish an essay withing the given time. Dictionaries should be allowed. 'Main' paper is in the same format as last year's paper (the one that Mr Toh gave us). I think it'll help if you look through the meanings of the terms in the textbook.
For Chinese/Higher Malay people sorry I don't know about those modules, I'm not taking them. If you're in those modules and you know what's going on please post/comment here ok? Thanks. (:

Cheers,

Bianca :)

P.S. Do continue your discussion for the Friendship Patchwork Project! :)

P.P.S. You can now write your well-wishes for your friends (for the exams) on the board in the library. :)

Examination Seating Arrangement

Hey 104,
the exam seating arrangement is already sent to you guys so please check your webmail. Remember to report to the Examination Venue 20 minutes earlier. It would be good to report to school 30 minutes before the exam so that you'll have time to put your bags and mentally prepare yourself or stuff like that. All bags must be in the locker, bring only what is required (stationary, calculator) or you'll have to stuff everything into your locker. ID Card is required. Please try not to forget to bring anything as it would result in disastrous outcomes.
Note: Try to remember to bring yourself on the right days, not on days where there is no paper to take.
GOOD LUCK with the coming examinations, and I wish you ALL THE BEST!!
